FEATI on its 8th year at the 17th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

It’s now a tradition for FEATI University to participate in the highly popular and widely anticipated Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF). Now on its 17th year, PIHABF will run from February 9-12, 2012 at its home at the Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga.

Given its lineage, FEATI’s connection to the PIHABF is inevitable. FEATI was the first post-war airline in the Philippines and had its own flying school.  FEATI became FEATI Institute of Technology and morphed into FEATI University after selling the airline but aviation remains in its bloodlines so to speak.  So is not a surprise the University finds itself once again in the thick of the action where aeromodelling, kite flying, paragliding, skydiving, ultralight aircraft, hot air balloons and “everything that flies” are the main attractions drawing huge crowds.

FEATI University’s booth will be manned by a team from Events and Promotions and the Department of Aeronautical Engineering (AeroE) and Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT).  The team is expected to entertain questions from visitors and students who are interested in enrolling in these programs or in aviation in general. The booth will also feature wind tunnel and blowing machine demonstrations, plane engine displays, historical timelines of FEATI, and indicate the global presence of FEATI alumni in the aviation industry. Visitors can also expect fun and games related to plane-making and flying. The university is looking forward to another successful participation in the PIHABF.
