FEATI S&T Expo 2009 for Young Minds

FEATI S&T Expo 2009 for Young Minds

The annual FEATI S&T Expo will be held on February 5 & 6 at the FEATI Bridgepoint with the theme “Young Minds, New Ideas”. This theme aptly defines the primary objective of the FEATI S&T Expo, which is aimed at encouraging and honing the young into scientific pursuit by giving a forum for high school and undergraduate students to present their research works in an exhibit covering a wide choice of subjects. Participants may explore and pursue any idea that they think would eventually find utility as a product or service. Prizes will be given to the best research work in the high school category participated in by invited high schools in Metro Manila as well as for those in the undergraduate category for FEATI students.

Exhibits from agencies of the Department of Science and Technology as well as from the University Belt Consortium Research and Extension Linkage highlighting the consortium’s project on the Pasig River and its tributaries will also be featured. High school students are also invited to the Book Fair and to participate in the Orienteering Challenge and the Science Quiz.

Dr. Graciano P. Yumul, Jr., Undersecretary for Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology will deliver the Keynote Address at the opening of the S&T Expo on February 5 and open the exhibits with FEATI President Dr.-Ing. Adolfo Jesus R. Gopez, VPAA Dr. Leopoldo V. Abis and EVP Gabriel P. Intengan. FEATI S&T Expo is organized annually by the FEATI University Office of Research, Development and Extension Services headed by its Director, Dr. Rogelio A. Panlasigui.
