FEATI University and the ISAA: High Five for Season Five!

On July 31, 2013, Wednesday at 9:00AM, the fifth season of the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA) will open at the Cuneta Astrodome. The ISAA athletes, composed of FEATI University, La Consolacion College Manila (LCCM), Manila Adventist College (MAC), Manila Tytana Colleges (MTC), Philippine Merchant Marine School (PMMS), Philippine Women's University (PWU), and St. Dominic College of Asia (SDCA), shall once again, see action amidst the thundering applause and adulation of hundreds of supporters. The organization that was founded to foster sportsmanship and camaraderie among universities in Manila has seen the likes of NBA champion coach Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat, PBA legend Alvin Patrimonio, and Barangay Ginebra Kings stalwart Kerby “The Kid” Raymundo, gracing the opening ceremonies and becoming witness to budding athletes giving it their all in the name of sports. University presidents, officials, and hundreds of students from ISAA-member schools will see another VIP gracing the event that is sure to elicit dome-breaking shouts and applause from the crowd; so watch out for that.
As per tradition, dress-to-impress muses shall front each team. Much anticipated is a special opening production number and a unity dance participated in by pep squads of all the member-schools.
In its fifth season of competition FEATI University has high hopes that our volleyball and basketball teams will duplicate and even surpass the medal standings of seasons past. After the opening ceremony, the FEATIU Seahawks basketball squad, which landed in the Final Four last year, will see action versus PWU.
In the coming weeks and months, ISAA-member schools will compete in basketball, volleyball, swimming, badminton and table tennis. It’s going to be a very promising 5th season for this young and thriving league with all its pomp, pageantry, and heart-stopping display of athletic skill! (AMD)
