FEATI-IT Students and Faculty Participate in Research Colloquium

The Third Annual ITE Students’ Research Colloquium was held by the Junior Philippine ITE Researchers (JUPITER) in cooperation with the Philippine Society of IT Educators’ Foundation, Inc. (PSITE) on 19 March 2011 at the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP), QC. Faculty members and students of FEATI University, Adamson University, Asia Pacific College, Far Eastern University, Manila Central University and TIP were among the participants. The colloquium both fosters and reflects the spirit of continuously establishing partnership between the academic institution, the industry, and the community.

The programme highlight was the presentation of the “Best Student Research Project” selected by the participating schools, and scrutinized, and evaluated by the JUPITER Board. Each presenter is given thirty minutes to discuss their projects. The FEATI University students and faculty who participated were Mr. Jinno Pinolio, together with Ms. Leonila Beroy, the adviser of the project entitled Portable Software Application Maker Using Binary and Hashing Algorithm; Mr. Al Sabiaga, with Ms. Jovy Factor, adviser of the project entitled Pasig River Rescue: An Edutainment Mobile Gaming on the Rehabilitation of the Pasig River.

An estimated one thousand two hundred (1200) educators, students, and IT enthusiasts attended the presentations. (JLF)
